Gareth is programmer, creative technologist and educator. His practice involves critical reflection on computational culture and experimenting with technology and flows of power. He has created projects and artworks involving critical and introspective software, Artificial Intelligence chatbots and generative poetry. His work is pedagogically driven and informed by workshops facilitated for young children, students and teachers on the topics of creative technology and critical computation.
Gareth is also part of the Open Systems Association (OSA), a collective of artists, researchers and tinkerers, who collaborate under a shared ethos. Through OSA he has contributed to a major exhibition at Transmediale, guest lectured at UEL (London) and LMU (Munich) and created data-driven performance and installation pieces.
